We have four independently owned Veterinary Hospitals within the HRM area and are looking to add to our team! This is a full time, permanent, Internal Bookkeeper/Controller position. Our locations are Eastern Passage Vet and East Hants Animal Hospital (Bedford Parks Animal Hospital and North End Animal Hospital coming soon). Financial positions work out of the main office located in Eastern Passage.

-Becoming familiar and comfortable with our business software (Avimark)
-Sage50 Premium Account Software
-Reconciling deposits, accounts and statements
-Balancing cash and accounts
-Maintain all intercompany accounts
-Working with suppliers, cheque runs and payments
-Payroll using Payworks
-HST filing, corporate tax payments
-Financial reporting on a regular basis
-Liaising with Accountants, Lawyers and Leadership Team
-Previous use of Sage50
-Use of company software, Microsoft office programs
-Previous work with small business
-Desire to grow personally and professionally within an organization
-Detail oriented, strategic and forward thinking
-Strong organizational and analytical skills
